Delete an Event or Shift

As an Admin, you can delete any event hosted by your organization from the Events section of your dashboard.

Delete an event

In order to delete an event, navigate to the Events tab on your dashboard. Select the downtick under Actions for your event, then select Delete event.

You'll be prompted to confirm your deletion and can choose to notify attendees of the event cancellation. When you're ready, select Yes, delete event.

Delete a timeslot

To delete a particular shift of an event, click in to the event from your Events tab.

Then select Edit.

Scroll down to Schedule, then select the red X next to the shift you'd like to delete.

You'll be prompted to confirm your deletion; select Yes to move forward.

Lastly, you can choose to notify attendees of the shift deletion and add a custom message to the notification. When you're ready, select Publish event for your deletion to go into effect.

Deleted event data in Mobilize

Deleted events will appear in the Deleted section of the dashboard Events tab. You can restore an event from this section as needed.

All upcoming signups for deleted events and timeslots will be marked as Cancelled.

Deleted event data in VAN/EveryAction

For upcoming events:

  • The deleted event will be marked as Cancelled

  • Shifts will be marked as Declined

  • To remove the event from your committee entirely, you must manually delete the canceled event after deleting it in Mobilize.

For past events:

  • The deleted event will be marked as Cancelled

  • Shift statuses will remain the same.
