Using the follow and unfollow tools on the volunteer schedule, supporters can quickly follow organizations to stay up-to-date through weekly newsletters, and unfollow organizations they are no longer interested in receiving recruitment emails from. Previously, supporters did not have the ability to unsubscribe from specific organizations, and were only subscribed to emails after they signed up for an event.

After signing up for an organization's event, supporters will automatically follow that organization and receive their recruitment emails.

At any time, supporters can view and manage a list of their followed organizations in their volunteer schedule, like below:

Note: the follow feature only appears as an option for organizations that a supporter has previously followed, then later unfollowed. Supporters are not able to follow organizations with which they have never signed up for an event or action.

The unfollow feature on Mobilize allows supporters to opt out of automated recruitment communications, while still receiving notifications about events they've signed up for. When a supporter unfollows an organization, that organization still has their personal information, and the supporter still has access to any volunteer host dashboard they are using.
