Automated communications in Spanish
Updated over a week ago

Mobilize can send automated event communications in Spanish. This includes all email and SMS registrations, confirmations, reminders, and post-shift surveys. Automated Spanish communications are ideal for events hosted in Spanish or for a bilingual audience.

To use Spanish-language communications, simply set your event’s ‘primary language’ to Spanish when creating or editing your event:

When a supporter signs up for an event with its primary language set to Spanish, the Mobilize-supplied language in their automated communications will be in Spanish.

Tips for using Mobilize’s Spanish-language automated communications for events

  • When using Spanish-language automated communications, we recommend that you write your event’s title, description, and any ‘how to prepare’ information in Spanish. The event information and any instructions for attendees will be included in the automated emails and SMS messages alongside the Mobilize-supplied translated text.

  • Include details about any captioning or live translation that will be available at the event in the accessibility details section for your event.

  • Add the “Spanish-language event” or “Evento En Español” tags to help Spanish speakers locate the events. You can also use those tags to create a feed link filtered to show only Spanish-language events:

  • If you use the Mobilize<>VAN integration, you can use the custom Activist Code settings on an event to apply a unique “Spanish-speaker” or similar Activist Code to supporters signing up for your Spanish-language event, to help identify them in your EveryAction targeting and reporting.
