On the MobilizeAmerica platform, our 'events' feature allows you to create actions for your organization's supporters to attend.
We offer two categories of event features - in-person events, such as canvassing or meetings, or virtual events that supporters can do or attend remotely. This can be a virtual phone or text bank, conference calls / webinars, virtual town halls, or remote instances of advocacy events, like calling legislators or letter writing. We now also offer a separate event feature for Petitions!
When creating an action, you'll have four options (more below):
Shifted virtual event: Use this when your action has shifts or specific times that they occur, and you only want supporters to sign up for those specific times. For example, this is what supporters would see at signup:
Online action: Use this when you have virtual events that supporters can do at any time (e.g. letter writing). Supporters will have the option of clicking an 'Act Now' button to do the action immediately or schedule their action for a time in the future. In-person events: Use this function for actions that have a physical location, and supporters must attend in person (e.g. canvassing, rallies).
