๐ŸŽถ A note on beta testing

Thanks for your interest in our newest integration! This feature is currently in testing, meaning we expect that beta partners will find minor bugs. We're partnering with a small number of organizations to share insights as we continue to improve it. You can share feedback and requests with your Client Success Manager or Support Associate.

To use this integration, you must have an active Zapier license. Zapier is easy to purchase and set up, offering a free tier and reasonable pricing packages.

๐Ÿ“‹ Overview

Zapier is a user-friendly, reasonably priced service that allows users to configure โ€œzapsโ€ that send data from one app to another when a designated "event" occurs. Zapier is compatible with thousands of apps, making this integration a powerful opportunity to embed Mobilize into your data workflows without a developer.

Our integration lets you configure zaps from Mobilize to Zapier-compatible apps when one of the following triggers occurs:

  • An event is created in Mobilize

  • A signup is created in Mobilize

  • A new volunteer is created in Mobilize

The zaps are one way, meaning a user can send zaps from Mobilize to another app, but not from another app to Mobilize.

๐Ÿ’™ Examples of Zapier compatible apps and potential workflows

The app you are trying to send data needs to be Zapier compatible. The good news is that there are thousands of compatible apps which you can search for on their website.

  • Direct messengers like Slack

    • Send an alert to a slack channel every time someone creates a new event

    • Send an alert to a slack user every time a new volunteer signs up for an event

  • Google (including Mail, Drive, Sheets, and Calendar) and Microsoft products

    • Create a new calendar event every time someone creates a new event in Mobilize

    • Add a row with contact information to a google sheet every time a new volunteer signs up for an event

    • Add volunteers as subscribers in ActionNetwork or MainChimp after they sign up for their first event

  • Project management tools like Asana and Trello

    • Create a new task in Asana every time a new volunteer signs up for an event

โšก๏ธ How to configure the Mobilize > Zapier beta integration

  1. Make sure you have an active Zapier license. If you do not, head to the pricing page to create a free or paid account.

  2. Reach out to [email protected] or your Client Success Manager. Your contact will send you an invite link and an API credential. When you open the invite link and accept the invitation, "Mobilize (beta)" will become one of your compatible apps.

    • **There are a few other apps in Zapier called Mobilize. Make sure you choose the one with our blue squiggle logo!

  3. Youโ€™ll be asked to add your API credential when you create your first Mobilize zap. You only need to do this once.

  4. Build your zaps and try them out for a few days! Then, send your feedback to your Client Success Manager or [email protected].

    • If you're new to Zapier, check out this how-to article from their help center. Zapier is user-friendly, but it does take a little practice to get the hang of it. We recommend testing each zap a few times to ensure the data fields and formatting are right!

โ“FAQs

Are promoted events included in the New Events zap?

Yes! New promoted events should trigger a New Event zap. However, promoted events already on your feed before you set up the Zapier integration will not trigger a zap.

๐Ÿค How should I share my feedback about the integration?

This is a brand new feature, and we want feedback from our beta partners! Of course, let us know if you encounter any bugs, but we also want to know how we can improve this feature can help you reach your goals.

You can share your feedback with the Client Success Manager or Support Associate who helped you set up your integration.

Thanks for being a beta tester!
