Volunteer Hours Tracking (Beta)

Learn how to keep track of volunteer hours in Mobilize with our newest Beta feature

Updated over a week ago

With our Volunteer Hours tracking feature (currently in beta), organizers can keep track track of completed volunteer hours with flexible, down-to-the-minute accuracy.

How it works

Mobilize automatically tracks hours for completed volunteer shifts using the start and end times of the event. If a volunteer completes an event that runs from 12-3, Mobilize will automatically add three hours to the volunteer's hours tally. Keep reading to learn how to use Mobilize to track your volunteer hours.

Step 1: Go to the shift details page of your event

  • Select your event in the Event list, then scroll down and select the timeslot.

Step 2: Add check-in and check-out times

  • An hour before the shift, the Hours column will appear. Select the edit icon to adjust volunteer hours.

  • The check-in and check-out times will default to the start and end times of the event. You can update these times to reflect the attendee's actual time volunteering, even if they arrived before the start time, for example.

  • You can come back to edit the hours at any time by adjusting the check-in and/or check-out time.

  • If you mark a supporter as Completed in the status column, their hours will automatically update to the "basic" event hours (the total event length). You can edit these hours by selecting the edit icon and adding check-in/out times.
