Configuring Your Events to Ask For Donations

Asking for money can be intimidating. Mobilize aims to alleviate the awkwardness of this important process by automating it. We understand that we don't have to convince your supporters to care about your cause -- they're already here! We make it easy for volunteers to show up and show out. Volunteers are twice as likely to donate and are particularly motivated after signing up for an action. On Mobilize, more than 19% of users shown a prompt initiate a donation averaging $21.

Configuring Your Donation Amounts

  • Step 1: Navigate to your dashboard Settings tab.
  • Step 2: Scroll until Donations is in view.

  • Step 3: Copy your donation link from your preferred service and paste it into Donation link. Example link: https://secure.everyaction.com/generated-slug
  • Step 4: Set specific amounts by typing values into Donation amounts without a dollar sign. This is optional.
  • Step 5: Click Update to save changes.

  • Step 1: Navigate to edit view of the event in which you want to enable donations.
  • Step 2: Scroll until After supporters sign up for this event, Mobilize can ask them to... is in view.

  • Step 3: To request a donation after a volunteer has signed up for an event, enable Make a Donation.
  • Step 5: Click Update to save changes.
