What user data Mobilize collects
When a user is added to a dashboard (as an admin, organizer, or host), Mobilize collects:
First and last name
Email address.
When a user signs up to attend an event as a supporter, Mobilize also collects:
ZIP code
Phone number (optional in most cases).
Learn more about supporter data here: Your Supporter data.
Personal & event data privacy controls
Mobilize includes product controls intended to limit unnecessary exposure of personal information and event details.
Default features:
Event host contact information is not public-facing; it’s only available to people who sign up for the event and to dashboard admins.
Attendee signup data is only available to the event host and dashboard admins (not to other attendees).
Host email verification: When a supporter submits a new event to an organization, they are required to verify their email address before the event can be approved or published. This helps reduce fake or abusive event submissions.
All event signup pages use bot detection to distinguish real people from automated abuse.
Optional features for admins, organizers, and event hosts:
Event hosts can choose to add a reply‑to email address on the event that is different from the email address they used to create their account, if they prefer to use a shared or role‑based inbox.
Event visibility can be set to Private so the event doesn't appear on any public feeds or newsletters.
Event location can be set to private so the location doesn't appear on any public feeds and is only sent to supporters upon signup.
Event registration can be closed at any time to prevent additional signups.
Mobilize dashboard admins have the ability to block a supporter from their dashboard and can also request a supporter be globally blocked from all Mobilize dashboards in some cases. Read more here: Block Supporter from signing up
If you believe an event or user activity involves credible threats, harassment, or safety concerns:
Contact Mobilize Support as soon as possible.
If there is an immediate safety risk, contact local authorities first.
